DATE: Saturday May 2nd, 2015. The fun starts when doors open at 3pm with the race set to run just after 5pm.
THE START OF A NEW TRADITION: We will be pulling AGED Bourbon from the barrel filled during last years Derby Party. Come be some of the first to taste our aged spirits that have yet to be released to the public.
WHAT ELSE: The distillery is also in for a special treat as Dallas transplant Meredith Larke of Texas-based Rear of the Steer Barbecue will be on hand for the distillery’s Kentucky Derby party.
Larke will be creating pecan-smoked brisket sandwiches topped with pickled red onion, sliced jalapeños, and Rear of the Steer barbecue sauce on a brioche bun. A vegetarian smoked zucchini sandwich with toasted sesame slaw, ramen crumble and togarashi aioli on sesame brioche will be served as well. Both edibles will be priced at $5.
